Maria João Rodrigues, Portuguese MEP, and Vice President of the Social Democrats, joins EURACTIV Reporter, Brian Maguire, Over A Coffee.

As Vice President, Rodrigues is responsible for the Commission’s work programme and relations with socialist members of EU institutions and relations with National Parliaments.

Previously, she was Minister for Qualifications and Employment of Portugal in the first government of Prime Minister António Guterres (1995–1997), and Professor of Political Economy, at ISCTE, the University Institute of Lisbon.
