Danuta Hübner, MEP, meets Brian Maguire over a coffee to talk about the complexities and risks of Brexit, Poland’s delicate relationship with Brussels, and next year’s European Parliament elections.
As European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Hübner was intricately involved in deploying regional funds to support peace in Ireland. She was also, briefly, Commissioner for Trade, together with Pascal Lamy.
Hübner served as the lead minister for Poland’s accession to the European Union. She currently chairs the European Parliament’s Constitutional Affairs Committee.
